About the League
We are looking for new race fans (no experience required) of all age groups to race in the 2010 Erbsville Rookie Karting Championship Series. Our Youth racing series is for 8 to 12 years of age, Teen series is for 13 to 18 years of age, Adult series is for 19+ ages and our Master series for 35+ ages.

This racing program recognizes and develops the next Superstars in the World of Motorsports within Canada, and we work closely with ASN Canada FIA to help foster the growth and development of a true ladder system within motorsport racing. ASN Canada FIA is Canada’s sporting authority and sanctioning body that oversees Motorsports in Canada including the Formula 1 Canadian Grand Prix and the Champ Car events in Toronto and Edmonton. ASN Canada FIA oversees and sanctions the Erbsville Rookie Karting Championship.

Races will be held bi-weekly, Saturdays, starting at 11am and Wednesdays, starting at 7:30pm, from late April until September. Finals are optional, and will be held in October. The track opens 2 hours prior to all race times for practice and qualifying sessions. Each schedule consists of a total of 13 events (once every 2 weeks) including 1 Orientation Day (On Track Training), 2 Exhibition Racing Events (non-point events) and 10 Racing Events, including a Semi-Final (for seasonal championship points) that runs from April to September. Rookies will be required to attend one of our pre-season race clinics (Cost is $50 +tax). Each event is approximately 2.5 hours in length and consists of 3 Practice Sessions, 1 Qualifying Session and 1 Feature Race. The length of practice sessions and races will vary, depending on participation. A complete draft version of the 2009 Racing and Practice Schedule is attached at the bottom of this information package for your review.

Important Information:
1. Regular price of Registration in the league is $149.99 plus GST. Prior to the beginning of the season you will be required to pay a $100 deposit which will be returned at the end of the season upon completion of the schedule as per the rules and regulations. Any race event can be cancelled up to two days in advance of the event and made up on any other race in the schedule. The $99.99 fee is a Limited Time Offer. Please note that the normal registration fee is $149.99. GST is extra.

2. Everything is provided including the high performance racing kart, track time, damages, fuel, tires, pit crew, mechanic, licencing and training. Speeds up to 90 km/h on a Pro 1 Kilometer Road Course Race Track.

3. All racing events are approximately 2.5 hours in length with each event consisting of 3 Practice Sessions, 1 Qualifying Session and 1 Feature Race for Seasonal Championship Points. The cost per event is $50.00 all inclusive*
* pit pass fees will increase to $54 when HST comes into effect July 1st, 2010.

4. Please note Helmets are provided and all members are required to purchase a neck/helmet support for $39.99 (regular price $59.99). This is a mandatory piece of safety equipment.

5. All members will be issued a 2010 Photo Racing Licence for $10. This Photo Racing Licence must be presented at registration at each and every practice or racing event in 2010.

6. The ERKC provides everything required for you to go racing, with the understanding that all participants must dress for the weather with no exposed skin. A pair of running shoes, long pants (no track suits), a jacket must be worn (no hooded jackets), gloves (any type of glove).

7. Participants must take safety very seriously and understand that this is a professional racing program for beginners of all ages. 

8. New F1K High Performance Karts that are provided are as shown below with a 6.5 Honda Racing Engine for all racing class except for the Youth series where we race 5.5 Honda Racing Engines:

1. Register online by completing the 2010 Registration Form in full with the proper Visa or Master Card including Expiry Date.

2. Register by calling the track at 519-884-5650 using your Credit Card. (Track Office Open Daily Monday to Friday – 9am to 8pm and Saturday & Sunday 9am to 5pm).

3. Register in person at the track in Erbsville cheque, cash or credit card. Call for appointment in off season.

4. Register by mail by completing the 2010 Registration Form and mail it with a cheque payable to Erbsville Kartway - $99.99 + GST (5%) = $104.99 (Limited Time). Mailing address: Erbsville Kartway, 675 Conservation Dr., Waterloo, Ontario N2J 3Z4.

Please Note: Once your registration has been received a complete information package will be mailed out to all participants in February advising everyone of our Open Houses in March where all participants will be required to come to the track at Erbsville to pick their schedule for the 2010 season and have their photo taken for their 2010 Racing Licence.
